Terry L. Lewis

Mr. Terry Lee Lewis, age 62 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on August 15, 1959 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Elmer "Gene" and Matilda Lewis. Terry resided in Jefferson County all of his life and graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1978. As a child, he attended Macedonia Baptist Church and lately attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Terry was united in marriage to Karen Gayle Willett on August 12, 1989 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. He worked at Hecks Department Store as an associate for 10 years and then at Big Blue Store as an associate for 5 years. Terry retired from Hanover College as a custodian after working there for 21 years. He enjoyed his cattle and collecting toy tractors, especially Massey Ferguson. Terry died on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 2:25 p.m. at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY Terry will be missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen Gayle Willett Lewis of Madison, Indiana; his daughter, Michelle Lewis of Madison, Indiana; his brothers, William "Bill" Lewis and his wife Mary of Madison, Indiana, Steve Lewis and his wife Shelly of Madison, Indiana, Wayne Lewis and his wife Jody of Madison, Indiana; his sisters, Debbie Miles and her husband Randal of Sanders, Kentucky, Vicki Wehner and her husband John of Madison, Indiana; his sister in law, April Clifton and her husband Jonathan of Madison, Indiana; his aunts, Frances Lewis of Westport, Indiana, Agnes Lewis of Hazard, Kentucky; his best friend who was like a brother, Gary Imel of Manville, Indiana; his best friend who was like a son, Donnie Malcomb and his wife Hannah and their son Colt of New Washington, Indiana; his best friend who was like a son, Hunter Means and his wife Jayde and their son Beckham of Madison, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer "Gene" Lewis, died February 8, 2011, his mother, Matilda Hoeppner Lewis, January 13,1991, his sister in laws, Nancy Lewis, died February 4, 2004, Mary Jane Willet, died in 1968, Maria Lewis, his father in law, James "Jimmy" Willett, died June 24, 2020, his mother in law, Mary Ruth Willett, died November 21, 2014. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIALFuneral mass will be conducted Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., by Father Christopher A. Craig at Saint Patrick's Catholic Chapel, Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, 305 West State Street in Madison, Indiana.
