David B. Ramsey

David B. Ramsey, age 65 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on August 21, 1956 in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late Andy Johnson and Jewell Annette Edens Ramsey. He was raised in Trimble County, Kentucky and graduated from Trimble County High School in 1974. He worked early in life for the Dairy Barn in Sulphur, Kentucky and the oil fields in Oklahoma. On September 22, 1990, Dave was united in marriage to Cynthia Ann Dabney in Pendleton, Kentucky. He worked at Lake Jericho in maintenance for 14 years in Pendleton, Kentucky and eight years for Madison Precision as a fork lift operator. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed being outdoors, grilling, cooking, baking, gardening, fishing, watching Gun Smoke and Fox News, and working in his yard. He was an avid UK fan and always watched the games. Dave died on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. at his home in Madison, Indiana with his loving family at his side.

A LOVING FAMILY

Dave will be missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Cynthia Ann Dabney Ramsey of Madison, Indiana; his daughters, Amanda Ramsey Mekara of Marshall, Michigan, and Stephanie Ramsey and her companion, Billy Ashcraft of Bedford, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kristen Leatherbury, Allison Lenser, Dalton Ashcraft, Mary Jewell Mekara, Adeley Ashcraft; his great grandchildren, Jeffrey Cox, Caden Mynhier, Brandon Mynhier, Jr., and Alaina Lenser; his brother, Larry Ramsey and his wife, Carolyn of Pendleton, Kentucky; his sister, Carolyn Ramsey Colbert and her significant other, Charlie of Georgetown, Indiana; his sisters in law and brothers in law, Laura Leinweber and her husband, Mike of Madison, Indiana, Donna Dabney Nalley and her husband, Glenn of Cody, Wyoming, Mark "Tony" Dabney of Madison, Indiana, James William "Jim" Anderson and his wife, Christy of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Johnson Ramsey, died December 11, 2012 and Jewell Annette Edens Ramsey, died April 3, 2008.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.
