Kim E. Coles

Mrs. Kim Elaine Tilley Coles, age 59, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on September 8, 1955 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Russell Lee and Edna Lucille Bennett Tilley. She was raised in Madison and Jennings County and graduated in 1973 from Jennings County High School. On June 19, 1980 she was united in marriage to Orville Emerson Coles in Madison, Indiana. This happy union of thirty four years was blessed with two daughters and one son. Kim was employed with Southwestern School Corporation for fifteen years having worked in the cafeteria until she retired in 2004. Kim enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for ten years and was a 4-H leader for over thirty years. She loved to sew and enjoyed crafting with her grandchildren. On weekends she enjoyed digging through the dollar boxes with the grandkids that her husband Emerson had drug home from the Friday night sales. Kim loved to take road trips with her sister and caring for her dog, Lilly. Kim died on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. at her home in Hanover, Indiana. Click Here for Funeral Service or Tribute Video A LOVING FAMILY Kim will be missed by her loving husband of thirty four years, Orville Emerson Coles of Hanover, Indiana; two daughters, Emmy Ashcraft and her husband, Jesse of Hanover, Indiana, Keesha Hill and her husband, Jason of Lexington, Indiana; her son, Kody Coles and his wife, Krista of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Madison, Lane, Kyndal, Morgan, Luke and Jake; her father, Russell Lee Tilley of Paducah, Kentucky; her sisters, Norma Downey and her husband, Randy of Hanover, Indiana, Julie Stewart and her husband, Rodney of Milton, Kentucky, Rita Swartz and her companion, Kevin of Jacksonville, Florida; her brothers, James Tilley and his wife, Linda of Hanover, Indiana, Eric Tilley and his wife, Cheryl of Paducah, Kentucky; her mother in law, Marjorie Gassert Coles of Hanover, Indiana; her brothers in law and sisters in laws, J.D. and Kathryn Coles of Hanover, Indiana, Joy Ann and Gary Kinman of Hanover, Indiana; 17 nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Lucille Bennett Tilley, died April 1986, her step mother, Margaret Tilley, died Oct. 2010, her niece, MaKayla Skirvin, died Oct. 1999, her father in law, Orville Ray Coles, died July 23, 2000. PRIVATE FUNERAL CEREMONY Private funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 5, 2014, by Pastor J.D. Traylor at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. Private interment will follow in the Kent Cemetery in Indiana PUBLIC VISITATION Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the 4-H Scholarship. Cards are available at the funeral home.
