Biography

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of
Mr. Harold William "Bill" Ayler

Mr. Harold William "Bill" Ayler, age 69, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on January 6, 1944 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was the loving son of Joseph Earl and Norma Jean Adams Ayler. He resided all of his life in Jefferson County, Indiana and attended school there. He was a member of the Manville Christian Church. He was inducted into the United States Army on November 19, 1964 in Madison, Indiana and rose to the rank of Specialist Four serving in Company B. Bill was honorably discharged on March 11, 1970 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Bill was united in marriage on January 1, 1967 in Madison, Indiana to Wanda Ruth Copeland. This union was blessed with three sons and two daughters to this home. He worked early in life with Ritters Lanes in Madison, Indiana. Bill had worked for 42 years with Reliance Electric Company in Madison and retired in 2007. He was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765 and enjoyed fishing, gardening and I.U. basketball. Bill died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 5:54 PM at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Bill will be missed by his loving wife, Wanda Ruth Copeland Ayler of Madison, Indiana; his loving mother, Norma Jean Adams Ayler of Madison, Indiana; his loving daughters, Dianna Lynn Schafer of Madison, Indiana and Billie Jean "B.J." Smith and her husband, Brent of Hanover, Indiana; his loving sons, Steve Ayler and his wife, Jannette of Deputy, Indiana, Lewis Ayler and his wife, Kim of Madison, Indiana, James Leon Ayler and his wife, April of Madison, Indiana; his loving brothers, Fred Ayler and his wife, Sondra of Manville, Indiana, George Ayler and his wife, Debbie of Madison, Indiana, Joe Dale Ayler and his wife, Pondra of Manville, Indiana; his loving sisters, Madeline Richardville and her husband, Jim of China, Indiana, Diana Smith and her husband, Dave of Madison, Indiana, Alice Cyrus and her husband, Mike of Madison, Indiana; his adoring grandchildrens, Daphne, Leslie, Kelsey, Kim, Katie, Jess, Kennedy, Steven, Emily, Courtney, Grayson, Colten, Aden, Tyler, and Kyra; his loving great grandchildren, Kory, Kylie, Bentley, Aniston and Bryson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Earl Ayler.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 2, 2013, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. George Severn at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North U.S. 421 near Madison, Indiana

VISITATION
Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana.

FLAG PRESENTATION
A flag presentation will be conducted at the graveside by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at the funeral home.
