Helen Beatrice Land Alexander age 94 of Hanover, formerly of Madison, entered this life on November 2, 1915 in Canaan, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late John Edwin & Eliza Rodgers Land. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and was a 1933 graduate of North Madison High School. She was united in marriage on November 15, 1934 in Jefferson County to Roy Alexander. This happy union was blessed with four sons to bless their home. Helen was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother & grandmother all of her life. She was a fifty one year member of the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765 and a member of the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison. She was an avid Euchre player and enjoyed playing all kinds of card games. Helen died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 2:55 a.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover Indiana.


A LOVING FAMILY
Helen will be missed by her loving daughters in law: Brenda Bishop Alexander of Hanover, Indiana & Hilda Alexander of Tennessee; her son: Donald Alexander of Madison, Indiana; her eight grandchildren: Helen, Linda Jo, Brenda Carol, Carol Lee, Lori, Leroy, Lynn & Dede; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren & step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: John Edwin & Eliza Rodgers Land; her husband: Roy Alexander died: Feb. 28, 1981; her sons: Kettig Alexander, Steven Leroy Alexander and Charles "Chuck" Alexander died: March 21, 2010; her sisters: Anna Ruth Facemire and Freda Hamilton; her brother: Alois Land; her granddaughter; her step grandson: Marvin W. Napier died: April 21, 2010.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., by Pastor Frank McGee at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.

Friends may call Friday from 12 Noon until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
