Ms. Opal F. Ralston, age 80, of near Canaan, Indiana, entered this life on February 8, 1930 on the family farm near Canaan, Indiana. She was the daughter of John & Clara F. Lee Ralston, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a 1948 graduate from the old Central High School. She lived & worked on her farm her entire life. She was a member of the Bennington Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, No. 407. She was a devout, lifelong member of the Caledonia Presbyterian Church near Moorefield and attended the Jefferson Presbyterian Church near Canaan, Indiana. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, making crafts and crocheting. She enjoyed making crafts and giving them as gifts. Opal will be remembered for her wit and her incredible laugh. Opal died Monday, March 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at her home near in Canaan, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John & Clara F. Lee Ralston & her sister: Mary L. Ralston who died in 1927.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., by the Reverend Wallace Hines at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Presbyterian Cemetery near Canaan, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
EASTERN STAR SERVICE
Bennington Chapter No. 407, Order of Eastern Star will conduct services on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
