William Joseph "Bill" Adams, 63, of Madison, Indiana was born December 9, 1942, in Madison, Indiana; the son of the late Mr. William H. Adams and Mary Charlotte (Scroggins) Adams. He was a retired Special Forces officer who served in Vietnam on two separate occasions during his 21 years in service. Bill was a member of the Manville Christian Church, life member of the VFW Post #1969, the Disabled American Veterans, decade member of the U.S. Army Special Forces Association, and the NRA. He was a licensed Maritime, all water pilot in the state of Hawaii. He loved to fish and particularly enjoyed deep-sea fishing in Hawaii. Surviving is his wife, Sherilyn K. (Akiona) Adams, whom he married December 16, 1972 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Mr. Adams will be missed by his wife: Sherilyn K. Adams of Madison, Indiana; 4 daughter & son-in-Law: Isalei Center & her husband Chuck of Milton, KY, Luanalei Keakealani & her husband Sonny of Renton, WA, Deborah Melville & her husband John of Canton, MI, Leilani Baggett & her husband Norm of Westland, MI; 2 son & daughter-in-law: Sgt. First Class James "Kalima" Adams & his wife Becky of Clarksville, TN, Barry Adams & his wife Jill of Homer, MI; son: Daniel "Keanae" Adams of Madison, IN; grandchildren: Nine grandchildren; brother: Daniel Adams of Zelwood, FL; 4 sisters: Jan Ligon of Birmingham, AL, Bonnie Auxier of Dupont, IN, Patti Frazier of Madison, IN, Cheryl Ashby of Madison, IN; uncle: Russ & Shirley Scroggins of Madison, IN.  Bill will also be missed my numerous friends and extended family in Hawaii.  He was preceded in death by Parents: William H. & Mary Charlotte (Scroggins) Adams, one brother: John L. Adams of Madison, Indiana.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 am, by Pastor Jim Lane at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana 47250. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Indiana 47250.


VISITATION
Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 pm and Monday from 9 am to the time of service at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
